"allegedly" UAE Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem was sending torture videos to Epstein... Still looking for verification, but a few Reps had half an hour yesterday with the unredacted files and "some really sick stuff there" was the general response...

I'm sure Dave's mentioned having to restrict signups or something as the forum has been getting inundated by bots for years now.
On the Epstein stuff; I can absolutely believe that the guy was murdered, there's just too much at stake for the people at the top, but I'm not really sure just how stupid you'd need to be to have a staffer at the DoJ drafting a press release about the "suicide" a day before you carry it out (and yes, I'm well aware that these people aren't particularly bright, but this is a very special kind of stupid where you need to purposefully defy all logic). It's just another person that needs to be in on it. Just, why? What advantage would it give you? It's not like these things take an age to write, or can be passed through focus groups to see what the reaction will be. That said, the defence of the idea is completely ridiculous too. What possible reason would you have for drafting these things before they're needed just in case, but not leaving the date part blank?
Honestly the date mix-up thing sounds the most plausible explanation - human error is far more believable than dumbfounding idiocy, but I can't fathom why they wouldn't go for that straight away instead of lying about them keeping a library of obituary statements "just in case".

It should be trivial for them to demonstrate there’s nothing untoward about the document by checking its creation date in the metadata. If it was just the doc date in isolation I’d be inclined to agree it was an honest mistake, but there are so many other red flags around Epstein’s death that I no longer think it was a straightforward suicide with nobody else involved. It might not even have been murder necessarily - perhaps the red flags are a result of the correctional facility and the DOJ covering up a monumental fuck up in allowing him to kill himself while on suicide watch. When you look at everything that happened and who would benefit from his death (and who would have been under threat had he testified), though, murder seems highly likely to me. Off the top of my head, there are all these things that are egregious:
- The inattentive guards who lied about having performed regular checks
- The specific cameras covering the cell area mysteriously not recording for a few hours either side of his death
- The person in orange briefly seen approaching the cell area on another camera, which the FBI claimed didn’t exist and tried to hide by doctoring the footage
- The autopsy doctors not being convinced of suicide due to specific forensic evidence that contradicted the apparent method
- The chief autopsy doctor (who wasn’t even present during the autopsy) being assured by the DOJ that nobody had entered the cell area, which was a lie and led to the conclusion of suicide
- The cell had an overabundance of bedsheets and jumpsuits in there. Every item had DNA from Epstein and several other people, one of whom was unidentified, which was deemed expected due to staff handling them. The only item which exclusively had Epstein’s DNA and nobody else’s was the noose removed from Epstein’s neck. How was this cloth devoid of staff DNA when everything else was covered in it? Someone wearing gloves, perhaps?
- A month earlier, Epstein had been put in a cell with a gigantic quadruple murderer with a history of violent extortion, who then attempted to kill Epstein. This was deemed a suicide attempt.
Either these are all big coincidences or something fishy was going on. I wonder which it could be.

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
Don't take my earlier comment as my suggestion Epstein definitely killed himself, there's a mountain of evidence (or suspicious lack of such to the contrary) for something untoward happening and far too many powerful people with links to him. Honestly it's scary how well connected he's turned out to be; just in this latest tranche of documents there've been two or three major players in Formula 1 shown to have been in contact with him (though I don't think there's been any implication of improper conduct, just a connection), and that's not exactly a massive world in the grand scheme of things. Granted, there's no-one other than Trump that I'd suspect; he had all of the power and capability to order something like this, and he's probably the only person other than Andrew that seems to have been so heavily connected with that world.
Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
Did you know that Epstein bought a second, larger Island next to Little St. James in 2016, AFTER his conviction...? That name again, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem.
