One hell of a projection of force. China and Russia could never dream of achieving an operation like that; in and out with the head of state and his wife after levelling all the AA in 3 hours. Putin tried a similar blitz on Kyiv at the start of the war and look where that ended up, complete destruction of his special forces and closing in on 1.3m dead and wounded soldiers.

Makes you wonder what's going to happen in Ukraine because Russia's sphere of influence is absolutely falling apart. First Syria, now Venezuela, Iran likely to be on the cards too. They've shown that their military equipment can't protect jack between the corruption and obsolete technology. A scary thought that the whole war hinges pretty much on how much Trump is in Putin's pocket and whether or not they're going to carve up Ukrainian resources between them as part of a peace settlement.

One can only imagine how many international laws have been broken with this, yet world leaders are notably silent. I guess because they know if they show a peep of disapproval then they'll have tarrifs whacked on them. Starmer's response is little more than "we didn't do it".

Remember when the world condemned the US and UK for invading Iraq in 2003? It was a war built on false evidence, but the world didn't know that at the time and many still concluded (rightly, I'd argue) that it was an illegal and unjustified conflict. Trump has attacked Venezuela on the basis of pointing at them and shouting "DRUGS" enough times that perhaps he actually believes it's a valid reason. And yet the major powers of the world have collectively shrugged. It's shameful.
