I was unaware that they were doing an Alien-franchise TV series, but here we are. Alien stuff varies wildly in quality so I'll wait to see it before attempting to judge, but I'm a fan of stuff like this transitioning to the small screen as I think premium TV is better than film these days, there's just more time to explore the concept and characters.

OK, that's definitely on the list of things to keep an eye on.

It’s a prequel… with aliens on earth so I wouldn’t expect much beyond a slasher of sorts on an island or something. Would have been cool as a sequel to Resurrection where they inadvertently infest earth at the end. Maybe all of the americas are mostly lost or something along those lines. I don’t hold much hope for it as it is.

The only correct response to any Alien projects since 1986.

Alien 3 wasn’t bad if you ignore the CG, especially in the context of the utter shit that would follow later. Also AvP 1&2 were excellent! The games that is -_- It baffles me how such an acclaimed movie maker as Scott has made such utter shit with his additions to the series.

I'm still vaguely interested in this and will watch on release, but it'll have been nearly three and a half years since the previous season when we reach November, and almost a decade since the first premiered. As much as I'd prefer stuff not to be rushed (and Stranger Things has never looked like a cheap production), I can barely even remember any plot points from the last season, and re-watching it is no small time commitment given the last episode was the length of a film.

I imagine there will be a highlights reel at the start for all the plot-critical stuff.

I genuinely enjoyed the last season of Stranger Things. The "kids" must be nearly in their 20's by now and I think some of them are married.

Definitely looks interesting. Aliens must be one of the few franchises where each new version is a prequel of the last one.

Great. The first season was way better than anyone expected it to be.
