The courts have scuppered Trump's tariff war. Womp-womp, etc. Global trade chaos, a handful of the rich have got richer through market manipulation and the US is even more of a laughing stock than Trump had already made it. It's such a huge blow to his ego and his image as the man who gets things done (with reckless abandon) that I think he simply didn't expect this to happen. Either that or he intends to use it as rationale for an attempt at putting severe limits on the judicial branch, which would certainly be in line with the fascist playbook he's been following.

The thing that amuses me most about the tariff news is that of the three judges that voted unanimously to block them, one was appointed by Obama, one by Ronald Reagan, and one by, you guessed it, Donald Judas Trump. The administration has already launched an attack at "unelected judges" when one third of them was put in place by the man they're blocking.
