"Loudmouth's come outta to playeee!!"
Re: Frontier Scum, Scene II: Horsehead Ranch
I shake my head. "Some boys just can't be helped."
We tossing some viscera into the room to show them we mean business then?
EDIT - On a similar line of thought, how feasible would it be for a couple of us to hurl one of the corpses through a boarded-up window? That way we hopefully scare them a bit and open up another firing angle.

You'll have to break down the window first with something hard and heavy, and make a successful GRIT test.

My fire is more than can be made with forests,
My state more base than are the basest valleys;
I wish no evenings more to see, each evening;
Shamed, I hate myself in sight of mountains,
And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

That's a bit far away. There's some bodies right outside.Animalmother wrote: ↑Thu May 22, 2025 2:23 pmI go lob the head off the guard we originally found? Think its still intact.

Can I try and make use of my gift of the gab skill to try and talk some sense into them?

Parcheval, seeing the commotion from his overwatch position, leaves the corral and takes up a spot with his back against the outhouse wall just next to the door.
"Now, now fellas, you don't owe these Loudmouths nothin'. Certainly nothin' worth dyin' over. There ain't gonna be a Loudmouth gang by the end o' the day. You two are lucky seein' as you get the choice whether you walk outta here alive or we bury you wit the rest of 'em."
"Now, I got two barrels right here, one fo' each of yer, and I'd happily oblige and turn yer into chicken feed. But come on boys, make the right choice!"
17 and a 6 without my modifier. Don't have the character sheet to hand to add it!
Ed: Found it, that's +2 so 19 as the best roll

Cumflutter takes out his Bowie knife and with clinical precision removes the heads of two of the dead vagabonds outside. He plops them down beside the doorway if anyone needs them.

You hear more mumbling, followed by some heated discussion between the voices in the room.
Then you hear footsteps coming across the cabin interior.
The door opens and in the threshold stands another member of the Loudmouth gang, his blade and revolver turned around with their handles toward you.
"ALL RIGHT, BOYS! WE SURRENDER! YOU GOT US OUTNUMBERD AND OUTGUNNED! WE DON'T WANT NO TROUBLE!"
He shouts this as if you're on the other side of a busy street, even though you're standing right next to him.
The other man who follows out behind is much older, stronger-looking, with a long white beard. He doesn't seem to be able to speak other than incoherent mumbling. None of you can make out what he says except his fellow Loudmouth goon. The old man has three tomahawks hanging from iron loops on his belt, one more in his hand, and three more in a brace across his chest. Cadaver Kid recognises this old man as Mumbling Manny.
The younger man speaks again.
"WHO ARE YOU, BOYS, ANYWAYS? BOUNTY HUNTERS? YOU DON'T LOOK LIKE NO RODEO CLOWNS TO ME!"

Re: Frontier Scum, Scene II: Horsehead Ranch
Do either of these match the descriptions of any of the Loudmouth leaders?

Re: Frontier Scum, Scene II: Horsehead Ranch
Dead or alive, $140 reward.
I grab Manny by the shoulder. “Your friend can go. You’re coming back with us, Manny. The law got a price on you and we’re collecting.”
I use my handcuffs to secure him.

Manny mumbles in response.
"HE SAID ALL LOUDMOUTH MEMBERS GOT A $10 BOUNTY ON THEM...HEY, BOSS, DON'T TELL 'EM THAT!"
