One of the reasons I ran out of the room was because I had no context for why Farley wanted to spike the guy's drink. Was there something I'd missed or was Farley just being a mischievous little scamp?

Haha, I was pretty sure it was the latter!

Of all the things I imagined might happen to a tax collector carrying a lockbox of tax money, straight up spiking his drink with a mystery potion was not one of them.

And the d100 roll for what the potion did... let's just say that while any option would have been entertaining, we got perhaps the most disturbing body-horror effect on the list.

Oh, and I came so close to accepting without question the decision to unleash a 15ft cone of fire on untested explosive material in a 10ft by 20ft room. Yenna, Marlowe and Brunwick all stood outside going, welp, that's our job done.

I don't think I've used Burning Hands before. I imagined it to be more of a little flame in my palm to burn things I touch effect rather than raging inferno cone.

I'm curious how much damage it would do with the full mushroom.

Yeah, I think there's another spell, a cantrip I think like produce flame, or something like that, which is probably closer to what you were picturing

As Dave and Pete discussed that, all I was picturing was Dharnon blowing the ends of his arms off rather than consequences to the rest of us.

...probably wouldn't have made him less successful with his rapier.

I was expecting something similar (in my head I had the old PSAs we were shown at school about the dangers of fireworks on Bonfire Night ).

Tbf though, even if Dharnon had blown his arm clean off, at least these days we're carrying a spare...

I was thinking that even though Dharnon had broken off a tiny piece of explosive mushroom, the rest of the mushroom was nearby in a room about to be on fire. At the minimum I think every window in the building would have shattered.

Just a heads up, I'm seeing my other half off at the train station tonight so if I'm five to ten minutes late on that'll be the reason. I don't think it should take me that long to get back that it'll cause such a delay though.

Mortified at his inability to remain conscious during combat once again, Corvus has spent the journey to Geldrun practicing his fighting skills (jumping around on the top of the carriage, waving a sword and shouting "ah-ha!" largely), and he now looks a bit more resilient and confident in his abilities

(which is to say he's taken a level of fighter :))
