Volley pulls out a crowbar and mimes hitting someone in answer to the question.

Re: CY_BORG: VIP Abduction
I can hover up to the roof. Jimmy the door open with my crowbar. Get above the goons at the card table and drop an EMP grenade on top of them. Probably..
Re: CY_BORG: VIP Abduction
Doze has a few flashbangs that will probably help.
I think we just breach and clear from the ground level. Kick the door open, toss in a flashbang (the EMP would only work if they had a lot of cybernetics, maybe we can ask Doug whether Doze noticed that on her interior scan), then mop up while they're staggering around the place.

Re: CY_BORG: VIP Abduction
So, the four Virid Viper thugs in the warehouse do not have cybernetic enhancements.
Just so you're 100% clear about how I'd 'game' this plan of yours:
1. If you deploy a 'breach and clear' method, much like a SWAT team, I would make one of you roll a Strength test to kick open the door, so the person with the highest strength should attempt this.
A success would mean you'd win initiative automatically, and be able to make an immediate attack action without having to roll for it. A failure would mean the door gets kicked, alerting everyone inside the warehouse, but wouldn't fly open, and the Vipers would probably go investigate the door.
2. If you succeeded at kicking open the door, I'd make one of you test to throw a flashbang (that's Presence). A failure would probably result in it bouncing off a crate, landing back at your feet and suffering the effects (being temporarily blinded/disorientated).
3. If successful, you'd all then get the chance to run inside and each get off a shot before return fire commenced. There are enough crates stacked inside that I shall assume you all fired from cover and grant you the bonuses thereof when the Vipers fire back. Be warned, the Vipers will also seek cover after the first round of combat.
Regarding Volley's plan to attack from the upper door of the warehouse:
The upper door to the warehouse is on the bridge, and has the auto-turret directly above it. The only way to get through that door would be to disable the auto-turret first, otherwise it will start shooting at anyone on the bridge or in the air above the bridge. If Volley wants to fly up to the roof and break through that door, in order to shoot at the Vipers from the internal upper floor walkway of the warehouse, he'd first need to take care of the auto-turret. However, the auto-turret is absolutely vulnerable to ePulse grenades. So long as he flew up to the warehouse roof first (behind the turret, and not onto the bridge in front of it), I'd let him throw a grenade from a reasonable distance without rolling initiative first (though he'd still have to roll Presence to hit it), otherwise the grenade will bounce off the roof and hit the ground, probably alerting the Vipers. You could fly over it and drop a grenade from above but that would be more of a challenging roll.
You could also try to fly right behind it and place a grenade right next to it, thus not having to roll to throw accurately, but that would probably involve an Agility test to see if you can do that without triggering some kind of proximity sensor.
Let me know who does what and we'll get rolling.

Re: CY_BORG: VIP Abduction
Relevant info for the group - Doze has a -1 for presence, so although she possesses a flashbang (three, in fact), I'd suggest she shouldn't be the one to throw it
I can give it to whoever has the highest presence stat.
Doze also has a 0 for strength, but looking across our character sheets we're all in the same boat on that one...
I'd also note that Doze will ready Boris to take part in the operation.

Re: CY_BORG: VIP Abduction
Regarding this:
You can remain in the taxi (at a good safe distance) and pilot Boris remotely, using a Knowledge test to make successful actions (i.e. shooting Boris' laser gun). Using this method, the target number to hit would be 7+ on a d20 roll, otherwise something goes wrong and Boris doesn't respond (signal interference or something).
Or, you can get Boris to accompany you physically and you can act as normal, and Boris will act with AI autopilot, following voice commands. This will mean you roll for Boris as well as yourself, but all his action rolls (such as shooting his laser) are 12+ for success. Although this means a lesser chance for him to hit, etc., it does mean you're also able to act yourself (shoot a gun, use your sword, etc.) as opposed to just being a remote pilot.

Re: CY_BORG: VIP Abduction
I’ve got +2 presence, so I’m happy to be the flash man.
Re: CY_BORG: VIP Abduction
I think on this occasion I'll hang back and pilot him remotely, I'd rather not dash in with a sword amid the gunfireStormbringer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 4:17 pmRegarding this:

Doze will also hand Sen a couple of flashbangs.

I'm 0 on all my stats so I probably shouldn't touch anything. And I'm -3 on Toughness so I should probably just stand and watch from a safe distance.

0 on stats is "average/normal".

Re: CY_BORG: VIP Abduction
I can give the door a good kicking so that Sen is well placed to lob a flash bang. My toughness stat is bang average.
