Stranger Things S4P1
Episode 4 yes it was a great rather stirring moment surrounding and I get the love for Max but they were never going to do that. I keep wishing they would develop Eddie more and was a bit stunned to find out he was a brit. Steve rules of course.
Orange is the new Black
Yes, it took me this long. I do not like Piper. I'm not but five episodes in but something about her irritates me immensely, perhaps that is the intended reaction though given her fish out of water circumstance. Saying that, every other character is a joy to behold and all the mentioning of Mad Men may ensure I get round to watching that next, finally.

Building the future, and keeping the past alive - are one and the same thing.

Have we been talking about Mad Men? I missed that somehow, if so. My favorite tv series, #1 for sure.

The Boys S3. Watched first episode of the new season. It has a scene that will probably go down in tv history... you'll know it when you see it Great stuff as usual, give me this over Marvel any day. Very funny and gleefully violent, this and Peacemaker have been the best superhero content in years.

I suspect I know which one you're referring to, but it's always difficult to tell with The Boys. There are so many... memorable moments.Animalmother wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 6:16 amThe Boys S3 It has a scene that will probably go down in tv history... you'll know it when you see it

Yeah, but THAT was something else! It's been a very good season so far, probably my favourite show.

Obi Wan Kenobi
The series is over now. It wasn't bad, not as good as I was hoping, but certainly better than BoBF. The finale is marred by some pretty messy dialogue and a few things that don't really make sense from a continuity perspective, but it's left open-ended enough for a second season.

Better Call Saul
So, after our discussion on here, and waiting for more Stranger Things and The Boys, I started this about two weeks ago. It took until the episode that really focuses on Mike (EP 6 or so) before it really started to draw me in a bit more. Up until then, I was only mildly interested. Not to say that it was poor or anything, it just took some time to get to the point where I actively want to see what happens next.

I can see that. Its a real slow burn but a masterclass in the slow burn.

What We Do In the Shadows
Loved the film and the tv seems to be pretty much the same. A mockumentary about vampires living in New York and being a bunch of self absorbed and often clueless wankers. Matt Berry is a genius bit of casting for this. Only watched the first episode but can see myself really enjoying this.
Big surprise on how great the makeup effects on the vampire lord were, genuinely impressive.

Oh, it gets better! Thoroughly entertaining and well written. Energy Vampire is a touch of genius!

Speaking of slow burns, I also started Night Sky with my partner thinking it would be something we both liked - she wasn't too keen on the pace. I, however, really enjoyed the first, and only, episode that we watched.
I'll continue it solo.
