Oh it's a cult all right, christo-fascism is increasing at pace:

Couldn't get more anti-christ or false-prophet than what is happening over there...

Fucking clown

This shit about Pence and the secret service is very disturbing, the fact he is coming out as the good guy shows just how fucked it is. Also Biden's dog bit secret service agents several times, always trust a dog's instincts!

If he continues to insist he won right up until the next election, wouldn’t that make him ineligible to run again by his own logic due to the two-term limit? :-k

He’s always said he deserved an extra term because of the “Russia Hoax” so no, in fact he should probably have at least 2 more terms to make up for the fraud.

I watched the majority of the hearing last night. Of note was the crowd's reaction to Hawley high-tailing it outta there, not long after his raised-fist encouragement of that same crowd. I think the comedic aspect might have been unintentional? Not sure, if it was then it's a bit of subversion that I whole-heartedly approve of.

Beyond that: yeah, trump actively ignored his constitutional duties for those critical hours between his stumping at the Ellipse and his weakly worded televised statement (and a couple of sucky tweets). He knew what was happening and was betting on it somehow working.

The violent side of me still wishes to have seen several sets of M240 machine gunners mowing down those motherfuckers who burst through the windows and doors. Luckily, I'm not in charge of anything whatsoever :P

As satisfying as it may have been Todd, you know it would have only served to give the Second Amendment nutcases something to grasp on to.

"The tyranical government is defending itself; I should be allowed a machine gun too to protect my family home from being invaded by senators!"

I get the need for catharsis, but one of the most revealing parts of these Capitol hearings was when they had two participants from the riots describe why they got involved and how they feel about their actions now. They struck me as decent, reasonable people - family men - who had been taken in by Trump's demagoguery and from an understandable desire to stick it to the establishment.

There are plenty of the rioters who I'm sure stick by what they did, but I wonder how many of them are like those two guys, deep in regret and shame. There's a huge amount of blame to dole out, but ultimately this is on Trump. He's ruined lives not just amongst those who oppose him, but I would argue primarily amongst those who fell for his lies.

It's true, you have to remember that this was the public staging a protest for something they believed in. A horribly mis-guided protest that clearly went so far beyond the line of what is acceptably defined as such, egged on by the person right at the top of the list of people who should have prevented it, but a protest nonetheless.

There is a tiny part of me that wonders how angry I'd really be if protesters stormed the House of Commons in an attempt to rid us of the people who've been ruining our country for the last decade. I know full well I could never support such action in reality, but there's a few neurons right at the back of my brain that fire at the thought that it's the only way to fix things.

It needs something to happen, the whole antiquated shit-show will just roll on same as it ever has otherwise. Criminal liability for corruption and lying in office would be a good start.

Steve Bannon guilty. He could get anything from 30 days to 2 years. Probably closer to the 30 days.
