General Chat: Anyone up for CY_BORG?
Re: General Chat
I'm going on holiday tomorrow so activity will be limited. I'll probably keep internet browsing and forum checking to just an hour or so in the evenings so feel free to roll my attacks and various checks throughout the day.

Right boys, here's my entry to the competition:Stormbringer wrote: ↑Thu Jul 10, 2025 11:15 amI have submitted my entry into the competition, after three days of non-stop writing, editing and designing.
I now have a thousand-yard stare and my head is full of tumbleweeds. Give me some days to recover then I'll return to our adventure!

Don't worry, I'm not going to run this particular adventure for you (it's a one-shot and not really fitting with the particular 'tone' of our campaign), but I'd be interested to hear your feedback on it, if you have the time to read all fourteen pages!

Re: General Chat
Sorry for the slower pace this week, folks. I have the week off work which means I am not chained to my desk, so less opportunity to write!

Re: General Chat
I'm afraid, gentlemen, I fear this project has rather died the death. I'm sorry.
I very much enjoyed it while it lasted, but once the momentum has dropped for me, it drops hard. I suggest we kill this sub-folder, otherwise it'll just be sitting here making the place look untidy.
What I'd like to offer you, if you're up for it, is to set up a DISCORD server for future text-based gaming sessions.
I think, as it has already been suggested, that we might have better luck with that than the TGA forum as a gaming medium. I do enjoy the nostalgia of running the game on the forum, but there's nothing like instant notifications and dice-roller bots to make things feel smoother and more modern.
Also, we've tried the dark, apocalyptic fantasy setting of MÖRK BORG, we've tried the Lost Frontier...what I quite fancy trying next is running a game of CY_BORG, which is a CYBERPUNK version of MÖRK BORG, set in a dark urban nightmare future.
How do you all feel about that? I realise I haven't exactly made a great case for being a reliable GM, but let me know your thoughts all the same.

Re: General Chat
No problem, totally understand and thanks for running it!
I think I’d struggle to commit a chunk of time to playing another game on Discord. With it being on the forum, I could dip into it when I had a second throughout the day, so I’ll probably have to rule myself out for the next one.

Re: General Chat
We do have a TGA Discord server already in place, you can absolutely get a channel set up there if you'd like? We organise and run our co-op gaming from the server and also the weekly P&P roleplaying group gather there.

Re: General Chat
I could be persuaded to keep it forum-based!
Perhaps Mantis could change the title of this sub-folder to Roleplaying or RPGs?

Re: General Chat
I should also explain that by Discord I intended to keep it fully text-based, and "dip in and out" style of play...just like we did on the forum...not something we dedicated set times to. It would function just like the forum, but with dice bots and notifications.
Would that work for you?

Re: General Chat
I'm really not a fan of Discord.
I use it for D&D voice chat out of convenience, but otherwise I avoid it like the plague.

Re: General Chat
Very well, I will set something up here.
Mantis, would you be so kind as to either remove or rename this sub-folder to something more generically roleplayey?

Re: General Chat
I have renamed it for now in case yourself or anyone else decides to run any other games.
I don't see the harm in it being dormant for long stretches because when a game is being run it is far neater to keep it contained in here.

Re: General Chat
I'd play another forum TTRPG if we get enough players

I have a Youtube channel now! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6kVsr ... Q/featured

Re: General Chat: Anyone up for CY_BORG?
Lovely!
Well, as I said, I'm a fan of the BORG family of OSR games, that began with MÖRK BORG in 2020 and has now grown arms, legs, tentacles and other appendages since then.
I fancy having a go at CY_BORG, which is from the makers of MÖRK BORG, but it's set in the year 20X3 (X being whatever you like, but I think perhaps 0, 1 and 2 are out of scope now), in an urban hellscape, similar to Blade Runner and Cyberpunk 2077 and all that ilk.

If you wanna sign up, register your interest and create a character here:
