The irony is, the tyranny the 2A crowd have been masturbating about this last decade is here, they voted for it, and it will eat their faces before they realise or even think of trying to stop it. The thunderous silence that followed G.I. Joke's speech was at least somewhat reassuring; the command isn't going to tolerate much of this incompetence, not when he ends up wasting lives for his moment of grandeur.

The Second Amendment vs Tyranny crowd never had a chance anyway. Every other country in the world understood that AR-15s are fucking useless when your opponent has smart weapons that can kill you before you even know you're being attacked. I genuinely believe Trump would command his military to bomb American cities if a 2A bunch threatened his grasp on power. Whether the US troops would actually attack their fellow countrymen is another matter, obviously the military has a bunch of yes-men at the top now, but individual soldiers still have free will no matter how much brainwashing they receive, and it only takes one or two dissenters to spread that dissent.

Basically I couldn't ever see a 2A group defending themselves not resulting in a civil war, I just don't think it'll happen in anything but isolated pockets.

I've been listening to more of Hegseth and Trump's speeches from yesterday. Hegseth is an absolute wretch and his entire tirade was despicable, but Trump... good lord, WTF was that? He's known for inane waffling, I grant, but this was a whole new level. A complete stream-of-consciousness brain fart; ceaseless rambling not unlike Grandpa Simpson talking about making toast and how he used to wear an onion on his belt (which was the style at the time). On the rare moments where he briefly settled on an actual topic, it was bizarre:
