I think you also need to empty out your pockets. They're stuffed full as they are. You can only carry ten items in them (each ammo slot counts as 1).

I also suggest you take a rest (roll a d4), smoke a cigarette (maybe borrow one from the others) or drink some water to recover your lost HP!
