Doc would like to drag one of the nearby, presumably headless, corpses over and lob it down the well.

Basically, I'm trying to dislodge Manny.

Cut the rope and toss one of his dead friends down the well to keep him company.

Ah beat me to it

Doc picks up a headless corpse and heaves it over the side of the well.

A second later, you hear a splash as the corpse hits the bottom.

I'm spitting feathers.

"My... GODDAMN HANDCUFFS! You're dead, Manny! ALL YOU SONSABITCHES ARE DEAD!"

EDIT: I'm unconvinced Manny is as dead as I want him to be, so I'm climbing down the rope into the well.

Okay, you'll need to make a SLICK test to descend the rope without falling off. D20+1, but the target number to reach is 8, rather than the standard 12.

Cadaver Kid carefully ascends the rope into the shaft of the well.

After a few yards, you realise it's pitch black down here (save the circle of light from above) and you can't see a darn thing!

I'd like to go as far down the rope as I can, checking with my feet for any secret tunnels or hidey holes.

You descend further and further into the dark, but without a light it's hard to see what you're doing. When you get to a certain depth you can smell the brackish water beneath you.

(you do have matches in your pockets)

Clinging onto the rope with one hand, and bracing your legs against the wall of the shaft, you strike a match on your stubble and hold it around.

You can see, down below, that the well-shaft comes to a stop above a cavern, with a pool of stagnant water beneath. A rickety bucket hangs over the water. There's no sign of Mumbling Manny down there.

You look up, then you notice it.

In the wall of the well, there's a small hole, large enough for a man to crawl through.

I'll call back up the well to report my findings, then against every instinct I'm crawling in the hole, gun at the ready.

You swing on the rope toward the hole and catch it with your feet, then carefully slither inside.

Argh! Someone's covered it with a net curtain, made from human hair and broken glass! You'll need to test GRIT (d20-1) to push through it!
