Giant hears a commotion from further along the hallway, but he ignores it and eases open one of the double-doors (the same ones, to the left of the northern corridor).

GDTS enters what appears to be a guard's barracks. There are six beds. Next to each one, a chest. The room is messy, with clothes, dirty boots and stained blankets all over the place.

Giant will approach each chest in turn and ransack them for shinies.

Roll me 6d6!

Meanwhile, Malaiz slings a sharp stone at the undead creature, which tears a small chunk out of it, and Fecher, charging in, splits it open with his axe. However, it's still on its feet.

Lord Margar, will you attack?!

Giant Dances the Sea works his way through the chests, one by one.

Roll me:

- 2d8
- A d6

And test Presence (d20 + 3)

I will - my sword flails with cruel abandon.

Roll a d6!

Meanwhile...

The first chest Giant Dances the Sea opens is trapped with a dart. This he spots, quickly disarms, and finds within 19 silver coins.

The second chest contains a femur bone.

The third chest contains a crossbow (d8) with ten bolts.

The fourth chest contains a guard's padded aketon, decorated with the insignia of the Baron Risten: the white board's head on a black and yellow striped field. It would serve as armour, though everyone in the group is already armoured in one way or another.

The fifth chest contains...THE STAFF OF AWFUL LIGHT! More like a spear than a staff: the head is made of some unidentifiable charred metal. Looks like it's intended to be used as a spear (d6) more than anything ceremonial.

The sixth chest contains...

AN UNDEAD springs out, wielding a spiked club! Test Agility, GDTS, to avoid being hit by this! (d20 + 1)

You have three Omens to spend. You can use one to lower the target number by 4, thus succeeding, if you like?

GDTS deftly avoids the swing of the spiked club!

Now it's his turn to act!

With the pillaged Staff of Awful Light still clasped in his mitts, Giant will lunge at the undead with it.
