\m/ Metal \m/
Re: \m/ Metal \m/
Ah thanks I'll check the album out, added them on Spotify last week, I think that's the first time a Facebook advert has ever been useful.
Re: \m/ Metal \m/
Haven't really gelled with Ghost yet but damn if this song doesn't slap.
Also a song off an album mixed by the Dev.
Re: \m/ Metal \m/
You have to have it loud, and you have to make it all the way through at least once. It's a fucking rollercoaster!
Re: \m/ Metal \m/
Ah not for me that one, can't deal with the vocals at all. That seems to be the de facto vocal style of modern metal releases and I'm afraid it leaves me cold. The less said about rap sections with obligatory silly hand gestures too...
It's a no from Snowy
The irony of my moaning about vocal sameyness when I listen to many growls, shrieks and roars is not lost on me btw

New Cult Of Luna is sounding rather tasty.
Re: \m/ Metal \m/
New Meshuggah album is out now.
It is pretty monstrous.

I am really struggling to get into the new Cult of Luna.
Meshuggah's new one is very Meshuggah, absolutely mighty on first listen.

New 'Shuggah is mighty, definitely getting its hooks into me.
That's a shame, Snowy, I really liked my first - and only - listen to the new COL. I keep meaning to go back again as I generally love their stuff. The guitar nerd in me loves the tones and soundscapes that they manage to create, fantastic production too. I'm actually going to contact one of their members to see if he'll be available to master my upcoming release - he does most of their records, I believe.

It has great reviews, but I just clanged off it. In fairness I had it on in the background rather than an active listen, so will try a session with my headphones and see how I get on.

Re: \m/ Metal \m/
I'll be releasing some music on the 24th and thought I'd dump this wee teaser here.
This is one of the heavier moments, but it's actually quite a varied sound overall - plenty cleans, quieter moments, spacey shit.
I'm excited to get it out into the world soon!
Re: \m/ Metal \m/
Ooh nice. Getting a bit of an Agalloch vibe from the teaser.
Re: \m/ Metal \m/
Yeah I would agree with that, and that is no small praise

Cheers guys.
I look forward to hearing your final thoughts on it once it's out, whether you're into it or not.
