Advanced Hero Quest: Quest I: The Halfling Cook - Completed
Re: Advanced Hero Quest: Quest I: The Halfling Cook
Thanks a lot for running this, Doug. I always love a good forum board game and I think this was our most successful party yet!
Re: Advanced Hero Quest: Quest I: The Halfling Cook
I recommend to everyone not to spend anything just yet. The extra gold you'll get before the next quest could allow you to put it all together to be spent more wisely.
I'll sort it all out at the start of the next quest.
Also, Terence saunters off into the sunset, never to be heard of again. He gifts his share of the spoils to the remaining party members.

Perhaps he should set it aside for whoever signs up to replace him.

Yes, I was hoping the other 3 members would put aside that money.
Gibby, are you up for resuming your adventure later in the week? If not, don't worry. I assume Sly and Mantis will very much like to continue, with Doug's new character joining them...

Speaking on Gibby's behalf, I have a feeling he won't sign up for another quest. He told me he found it quite hard to keep up with this one, with his busy work and social schedule.
I will create a character and, assuming Gibby does intend to retire, Tichinde is on the waiting list...

Oh, I forgot to mention that you can also hire henchmen as well as buy stuff for your own character. However, this would make the whole thing more complex and I don't know if Maturin is up for that sort of headache just yet. ¬_¬

Yeah, I've been thinking about that too. I need a few days to nail down the details in my own mind, I should be able to start up something at the weekend or thereabouts.
Doug, do you have the rules in PDF format? All I have is the web version, which is a bit cumbersome. Also, I'd love to use your room/corridor templates.

Wow... things progressed quickly during my hour-long conference call I just had
Will catch up now with what I missed but wanted to quickly add my voice to those thanking Doug for taking the time to put this together.
And yes I shall be up for slinging some more tactical fireballs in the next quest.

It can be awkward for wizards to get into position to use offensive spells, but when you can manage it they're really powerful.
You dealt a lot of damage with that fireball. Hopefully you should be able to afford some more next time...

Thanks for running this, Doug!
This is the case, although I'm not USUALLY as busy socially as this week has been and is set to continue to be. I was struggling to keep up though, especially during working hours, and thus would love to step aside to allow Tichinde to play. I will follow the thread though, as when I did get on I loved seeing the adventure unfold!Stormbringer wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 3:38 pmSpeaking on Gibby's behalf, I have a feeling he won't sign up for another quest. No need to sit down at your PC for it for a session.
Assuming I'm not woefully late as per usual.
And if I am, I'll enjoy watching you all flail about as is the norm for these things
