Yes, the highest score wins the combat. And then the amount you win by is the number of HP that gets taken off the loser. Armour is ignored.

Did I really only get 10 points from all those, though?

And I've gone back and looked at how many enemies are on the map... there looks to be an awful lot waiting for us in the last quadrant :shock:

I've also just realised I could have used Gorman's bionic arm to reroll on his turn... oh well, must remember in future.

Anyway, thanks for an entertaining evening mate, I feel like tomorrow is when the real bloodbath will commence :lol:

Yes, that's in use for the whole mission. I'd forgotten about that too.

That was a decent start I thought! The Blood Angels are in quite a strong position, since they've cleared their quadrant and can choose to search for the primary objective before the others. The Ultramarines still have a rogue blip to deal with in their sector though, which could slow them down. That's if they want to deal with it.

Imperial Fists are in a good position too if they can clear these remaining enemies quickly.

Still all to play for. :D

By the way, the primary objective gives a whopping 30 points to the squad which achieves it! And on top of that the Dreadnought itself is worth 25 points....

Yep, that's the primary objective. So the squad which deals the killing blow gets 55 points in one fell swoop! Which is why you don't need to worry about losing you Marines too much; the commander which kills him could conceivably win the game even if he loses all 4 Marines.

Also, because the Dreadnought has 3 life points it doesn't automatically mean the first squad which finds him will kill him in 1 turn.

Animalmother, I've just noticed you took the Bionic Eye equipment card which is no use to you since your Commander is carrying the Power Glove and Sword. It's only relevant for the other 2 commander weapons.

So I'll allow you to swap it out for another Equipment card. I'd recommend Blind Grenades.

FYI we've been invited round to the house of one of my daughter's friends this evening for 'drinks and snacks', so not sure what time I'll be around.

However, my next move was really only going to be setting up for the turn thereafter, so if it gets to say 5pm and that turn hasn't come round yet I'll post up my proposed moves just so things can keep moving while we're being wined and semi-dined...

Sure thing.

I might quickly add some little icons to the commander avatars to remind us about rerolls and things.

That's done. So this'll just show us that Mantis' Commander can reroll a dice with his digital weapons, Sly can reroll a dice with his bionic arm (and has Armour 3 with his Forcefield), plus Mantis' bolters have 1 extra dice in H2H with Bolt Pistols. Animalmother's Plasma gun already had the Targeter icon for his reroll:
