My first (and one of my only) RE experiences. My brother and I rented it from Blockbuster for the Playstation (1 or 2 I forget which), taking it in turns to play with the other watching. I just remember that huge Edwin coming crashing through the wall. Not sure if we ever finished it although I think so.

It's a shame that they dumped the fixed camera points in favour of third person. I think a full remake in the original style would have been much better, I'm not as keen on the games from Resi 4 onward.

The women all kind of look like Ellie at different ages.

The Kotaku preview of this put me right off the game. It talks about there being an enemy that is constantly following you around the Police Station and can attack you at any time. It's a bit like the Nemesis from 3, but it's not scripted as to when it will attack you. It follows you in real time so it can happen whenever. It obviously provides a sense of consistent dread and you can't dilly dally but it's the kind of thing I really dislike in games and part of the appeal of Resident Evil 2 for me was really exploring the area, you can't really do that knowing that at any time you could be attacked.

Having never got on with RE2 I like that they are trying new things. I probably wouldnt have played an REmake treatment of it but I'm a bit interested in this one.

Sounds like Mr X isn't as oppressive as I first feared but also still not a mechanic I want to see in a game.
