That looks great.
Re: General Gaming News
It looks.... like Call of Duty. I don't actually have anything against COD games (I loved the original MW2), it's just that they don't seem to have done anything interesting for over a decade. The new trend of them releasing new games with the same subtitles is just weird too.

I found that demo to be incredibly boring, other than the crates moving around it was lacking in anything original. As Raid said it looks like a CoD game.
Re: General Gaming News
So what are we calling these first couple of weeks in June when all of the games shows happen? Is "Summer Games Fest" an all-encompasing name, or is that just the name of Geoff Keighley's thing from yesterday? If yes, then that's terrible. Shall we just all agree to keep calling it E3? It's not as if Electronic Entertainment Expo has really been an appropriate name for over a decade now anyway.
Anyway, Devolver Digital's annual E3 showcase was last night. There aren't an awful lot of games to see, although I think what is there looks pretty good if you like nicely-styled cutesy indie-type stuff, but as ever it's worth watching just because of how much effort they put into these things. This year's references so many properties that I'm amazed they're legally allowed to stick it on Youtube; I'm assuming Nintendo's lawyers are drafting something just for "Tom Clancy's Animal Crossing" as we speak.
It's, err, not exactly family friendly. Fair warning.

That was interesting
Re: General Gaming News
If you've never seen any of their presentations from previous years, they're worth finding. Just make sure you start from the first one as the first few have a loose storyline to them. They're usually my highlight of the conference.

I look forward to them each year as well. Some very interesting looking games there.
About Modern Warfare, I think it's graphically very impressive but I'll probably never play it. COD games are just something I'm not interested in anymore.

Thereโs a rumor going round that InXile are remastering Fallout 1&2 and itโll be announced at the MS thing tomorrow. Fucking yes please!

Re: General Gaming News
The untold godly amount of money spent just to get the right studios to do a remaster for a bunch of games pretty much every western RPG fan has been looking for is mindboggling.
I remember Routine many many years ago and wondered where it went.
Visually it still holds up pretty well for something produced in 2013.
Gotta say its a big shock to see it show up again outta the blue.

Oh lordy, I loved the first game; still to do my second run with the alien powers. I wonder where they'd go with a sequel for it? I've always heard good things about Mooncrash but never tried it myself.

Games playing : Bioshock (Remastered) / Total War Britannia / Dirt 4
Re: General Gaming News
That'd be fairly exciting, but I think it'd have to be a full-on remake. The GOG version already runs perfectly fine on modern hardware, it's just borderline unplayable because of its ancient interface and opening. I honestly had no idea if I was doing something wrong with the interface, if I'd made a stupid mistake in character creation, or whether the tutorial was just punishingly hard or badly explained. I couldn't get more than two rooms into the very first section before getting killed.
