Given that Twitch has started to push its own client and storefront for selling games it makes sense that Valve wants to start getting in on the streaming business, though they've got one hell of a job if they want to make any impact on the Twitch's dominance. Probably a bit late though given that they've had Steam Broadcasting for years and never made any attempts to push it.

I don't really see why they would – surely they make more money off Steam day-to-day then they would from making actual games, given the massive investment required to make a game.

Oh yeah of course, I have no real hope of them actually doing it. Just venting ;)

You never know, there might be someone pulling the strings that actually cares about making games though. Fuck you, Gabe

Artifact will be out soon and In the Valley of Gods is still to come.

Whilst maybe not strictly traditional Valve they still have a few games on the way. Just not the one were waiting on. :)

We will never have any of those games. All of the talent that pushed the writing and development of actual games within the company seems to have left over the course of the last couple of years as they all slowly realised that Valve wasn't interested in developing things anymore.

Of the three I think you might get a new L4D.
