I had this opinion of Skyrim Special Edition. Mind you I did have a LOT of mods...

And you’d have been right. Skyrim is just a massive clusterfuck like the VR version bring a completely separate entity, saves and all.

To be fair Skyrim SE added 64bit support which helped the mod scene a lot.
I think the biggest thing a remaster for Crysis should be doing is getting it to run well on today's systems. The game was designed at a time when single core CPUs were seen as the future so it was developed with the idea that people would be using 6 or 7ghz single core systems in the near future, instead processors went down the multi-core route so even top line systems still struggle to get a really good framerate.

They managed to get a very good version of Crysis working on the Xbox 360 several years ago, which was impressive.
