2K need to seriously stop allowing Randy to be such a central public mouthpiece on social media, all he ever does is directly stir up the ire of gamers because he simply can't help himself from doubling down on all and any takes he puts out there. Especially in a time as it is right now.

Rogue Trader is getting a sequel: Dark Heresy.

RT was my least favourite of the three RPGs Owlcat have made so far, but it was still a great game and I'll certainly play the sequel.

I know what you're thinking...new Dark Messiah? Hopefully it can deliver something reasonably close to what it's portraying here because something else updated in a true Dark Messiah combat vein is long overdue.

This looks pretty good, might pick it up tonight. It seems to have emerged quietly out of nowhere.

There's a playable demo out...

Had an eye on it myself after not buying into either Avowed or The Oblivion remaster as yet.

Also...
In a message on the MindsEye Discord, Mark Gerhard was asked if he believed that "all the people who reacted negatively were financed by someone," responding "100%." He then went on to say, "Doesn't take much to guess who," without elaborating on who or what he could mean. When another user pointed out that "a co-CEO for a studio implying another studio is paying previewers to talk negatively about your game is an absolutely wild comment to make in a public environment in any situation," Gerhard doubled down, simply saying, "not wild if it's true."

That is kinda wild.

Played a couple of hours of Tainted Grail and it's decent! The dialogue is waffly guff (think Gothic levels of quality) and the combat is nails hard at first, but it's fun and looks like it has a tonne of potential. Kind of like if Bethesda outsourced an Elder Scrolls game to a eurojank studio and it turned out better than expected.

Played the demo a while back and left with a hankering for more, so maybe it's time to put down Oblivion Remastered and try this out.

Looks very cool, loving the art direction and I'm a sucker for good physics and animation.

That being said, it's very much a tech demo and not the actual game yet, so I'm tempering my expectations; especially with it being UE5.

If they pull off all the features they're aiming for with this, then it's going to be quite the experience, at least technically.

Yeah, it's worth noting that this video was shown off at an Unreal tech conference, not a gaming event. Yes, it's an extremely impressive demonstration of what the graphics engine is capable of and it was apparently all real-time, but I wouldn't treat it as evidence of what the game's actually going to be like. They say it's running on PS5 hardware, and I think that's believable if the Ghost of Yotei trailer is representative of that game's visuals (it doesn't have quite the level of fidelity shown here, but it's not a million miles off), but all of these systems have to be implemented by dev teams, all of those lines of incidental dialogue have to be recorded, and all of that staff time costs money. CD Projekt are one of the few dev teams rich enough to pull that off I suspect, but I'd wait until *they* release a gameplay demo before getting excited.

That looks amazing. Man I need to go back and finish 3. Lost my 70-80hour save in a windows migration but I think its been long enough Ive forgotten a lot of the quests.

I know some people bang on about how Witcher 3 didn't look as good as its pre-release demos, but I think it still looks great 10 years on. Even if Witcher 4 doesn't quite live up to the tech demo, it's still going to look spectacular.

Apparently it's going to be set in Kovir, to the north.

The long-promised Bond game from Hitman-developers IO Interactive finally has a trailer.

I think it looks promising as a concept, though there's not really any gameplay there.

The parts that did look like gameplay seemed very Hitmany, which is fine by me as a tried and tested formula. Quite excited for this one.
