After a massive success last year—both for the men's and the women's games—this great tournament returns.
8 regional teams: Yorks, Manchester, Birmingham, Trent, Welsh, Southern and 2 London teams. Each team has to have an England test player in it. Each side has 100 balls in 5-ball overs, with lots of little rule gems like each end changes every 10 balls—that can be one bowler or two, up to the captain, and each bowler can only bowl 20 balls maximum. Matches are often shown on the Sky Sports youtube channel for free, so great accessible fun. Kids absolutely loved last year's tournaments, and it is a great quick-play format of the game.
The first game was tonight, with another at 5:30 tomorrow evening.
