Film analysis

Post by Achtung Englander » Fri Jul 22, 2022 11:02 pm

I am continually impressed by how amateur film documentary makers are producing such original and interesting videos, so I thought we should have conservation dedicated to them.

This one is really interesting. It explores an aspect about the music from the Shining and what a genuis Gordon Stainforth was.

Off the top of my head, Nerdwriter does some superb analysis of films (and lots of other things). This is his simple and elegant change for turning Passengers from a decent movie into a great movie:

brilliant. Never seen the film and I don't have to now but a good editor is more valuable than a good director. I can see how this film could have been amazing but was let down by the director's lack of original thinking

I'm quite fond of Movies with Mikey on Filmjoy. Might be a little too "Youtuber-y" for some.

Always been a fan of channels like Oliver Harper and FilmComicsExplained. I'm currently continuing my own fascination connected to all things deep diving especially based around movies such as Event Horizon, Pandorum and Aliens. A shame then we will never get to see a director's cut of Event with the removed thirty minutes, I know Amazon was skirting with the idea of making a tv show but not heard any developments recently.
