Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

The very definition of a film that doesn't need making.
There are so many rich stories in Middle-Earth that deserve to be shown on screen. The Hunt for Gollum is a barrel-scraping excuse to get the gang back together under the most tenuous pretense possible, and throwing Frodo into the mix is just cynical. They may as well call it Gandalf's Last Hurrah, or Andy Serkis Wants a New Kitchen.
Make a film of The Fall of Gondolin, you cowards!

There's way too much in that trailer. If you're wanting to keep it a surprise, it looks just as good as the first.

I'm realising that Sisu is basically the Mad Max of World War 2.
Looks amazing; can't wait!

Re: General Film News
Of all the actors I would have guessed would be chosen for such a role, I'm happy they went with someone like Charlie Hunnam. Of course, he's not the obvious fit, but you never know what you may get until you remove someone from their long-standing comfort zone...just look at Robert Pattinsons career. Enjoyed Charlies acting since Green Street...IT'S FOOTBALL DAY! Very much a personal guilty pleasure of mine, that one.
Given the subject matter I'm ever so slightly concerned just how far they will delve into Geins'...erm...more creative side on film.
Edit: I seem to have posted in the wrong thread.

Re: General Film News
I'm a little surprised they haven't made it a life-long ambition to destroy every copy of that ever produced. It represented everything wrong with the push towards extensive use of CGI in films before the technology was remotely ready, and it's one of the worst looking films I've ever seen. I'm surprised there were enough polygons in the original CG to even warrant a 4K release, and I'm not sure why anyone would want to see them if there were.
