I disagree. I also don't think it's reassuring that they repeated the best gag from the first trailer.

It might be fine, but it ain't the Naked Gun...

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

That could potentially be the film that drags me back into a cinema.

Yes indeed. As long as it's not like Ready Player one. I didn't enjoy that one.

That's an unexpected but top-tier choice.

Not really into Bond, but yes, that's good news indeed.
My fire is more than can be made with forests,
My state more base than are the basest valleys;
I wish no evenings more to see, each evening;
Shamed, I hate myself in sight of mountains,
And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

Well I'm certainly excited. Villeneuve is my favourite director of the last decade.

Oh look. Another one.

It's not like I'm expecting to be interested in this, I thought the first was incredibly average and the second was one of the worst films I've seen this decade, but I felt absolutely nothing for that trailer. I don't think it looks good, and I suspect this is just me but it feels like the Na'vi look worse every time I see them. I don't think their stretched appearance works at all, they just look unpleasant. They're sort of like a young child drew a human being, and you really want to encourage their creativity, but it's painfully obvious they have no idea what they're doing. I *do* like the visual of the new priestess character in the white facepaint and vibrant red headdress thing, that's a good bit of visual design, but everything else leaves me utterly cold.

And it looks like they're continuing with the thing I hated most about the second one; there's clearly the same elements of tedious family melodrama in there that I find baffling in an ultra-creative sci-fi setting.

Cameron has insisted from the start that this is a five movie story he absolutely needs to tell, despite the stony silence of demand for it to continue, so brace for two more.

I'm not sure there's another director with his level of talent that has squandered almost 20 years of their career on such a piss poor project. Every time I think about Avatar, I go one step closer to being convinced the whole thing is a money laundering scheme.

I quite enjoyed the first one! Haven't seen the second. But I suspect it's inevitable these great directors go downhill in their later years...I mean, look at Ridley Scott!
