I'm prefacing this by saying it's a leak, and it's probably half of the film's plot. I suspect the plot here doesn't matter a huge amount. Honestly I spent the first minute trying to see whether this was AI generated. I don't think it is.

You probably do.

Kung Fury: The Movie sizzle real

I've seen the original Kung Fury. At the time I think it felt like it was trying too hard, but this is pushing the concept so hard that I think the irony meter has spun a full three times and I'm not sure what day it is.

Ehhh; Superman films are usually so po-faced, I don't mind a bit of levity from it featuring... I want to say Krypto? Poor name these days.

I trust Gunn to do a decent job. I still won't see it at the cinema, but then I'm not sure what film makers would need to do to go back there these days.

I wanted to add this earlier with my previous post but thought I'd hold out for reactions first.

At one time I was a fairly large Gunn advocate with movies such as Slither, Super and the original Guardians I enjoyed all - and even though he only produced Brightburn it has slowly but surely become a true favourite rewatch for me as I truly dig the theme and What If? style energy/execution.
Spoiler
It's utterly convincing as a compelling look into having the true burden of having to deal with such an overwhelming sense of power in a vain attempt to fit in with normality - and how from the very start BB is on a set path he can never divert from.
Anyway, since that movie involvement I feel as though Gunn himself has chosen I path I can no longer follow. His directorial style/ensemble pieces and writing now completely turn me away, he's become far too much of a one-trick pony. Nothing about the trailer other than perhaps The Hammer of Boravia inclusion stood out for me in all honesty.

I recall reading about this a while ago but never got round to watching it.
Adding to my list of things to watch.

Moranis is halting his acting hiatus for this! :D

Yep, it'll be the first time he's taken an acting role in 27 years. Given that there's a whole sequence in the original about a proposed sequel being named "The Search for More Money", part of me wonders whether they'll get a few jabs in about Moranis' disappearance from acting for that length of time.

This may be one of the few 80s reboots that could actually work. They've got two whole trilogies and Disney itself to send up - like shooting fish in a barrel!

I've got fingers crossed that John Candy's character is replaced by an intentionally terrible CGI version.

Yes, there's certainly been an awful lot of ammunition made in the last four decades.

I'm actually a bit cold on Spaceballs. I didn't watch it when it was new (which would have been difficult given I was 2 years old) so it sat alongside a good decade or two of similar material, and I don't think any part of it really stood out from that crowd. The parody jokes felt a bit low effort, and it spends a lot of time feeling a bit too self-congratulatory, to the point where it almost feels like a meta-parody on the subject of parodies. Maybe I need to try re-watching it.
