Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
This was meant to be revealed tomorrow via a stream but has leaked out early. It's a sequel to Wildlands that sees Jon Berthal take the role of main bad guy. Like the original it features 4 player co-op and will be coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox on October the 4th. Expect to see some gameplay footage tomorrow.

Want. GR:W is one of my most played games, with my usual non-TGA co-op buddy, PREY, Soli and once and once only DJ
I think dropping a helicopter on his head put him off.

I might get this one if they put a better story in it.

Is Wildlands playable without other people, as in is the AI any good? It comes up for sale on XBL on a regular basis and I've been tempted, but I wouldn't play it online.
Re: Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
Iv only played it alone and it’s fine. It’s just far cry with more satisfying combat.

It's perfectly playable solo, although almost all my gaming time has been spent playing co-op. Great fun game either way, but it really appeals to me where others haven't got on with it so much.

Installing it now
Re: Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
Shame you are playing it on console mate, would be delighted to leap in for some co-op with you. I have never tired of this game.

I've just been faffing about on it so far and have been getting my ass handed to me. The enemies can nail you any distance it seems. Not to be played like a cover shooter anyway
Yeah, I'd say it's a blast on co-op alright. Doing a well planned raid on a camp must be very satisfying.
Was the Predator dlc just a once off or is still available you think?

I think the missions still there, I certainly played it long after the event timeframe.

Re: Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
Yep the Pred mission is still in it. PREY and I played that through - the approach to the actual fight being a stupendously pant-shitting experience.
The new game I have some reservations about. Played the prequel mission series in Wildlands at the weekend with my co-op buddy, and it just sounds like they have gone all Narco Road (DLC, avoid at any cost) with it. What you want is an open world populated by enemy men to shoot. They have recruited the guy who plays the Punisher on Netflix to rasp daft Texan drivel and who will become the bad guy, with the Ghosts shot down and stranded on a 'mysterious' island run by a tech company making drones.
That to me reads like the tactical shootery will be making way for stupid fights against robots of varying stripes. Why must Ubi always make fuck-ups of perfectly simple game premises? Wildlands was nigh on perfect as a co-op sandbox shooter. It gave you the opportunity for awesome tactical play (silent base takedowns and exfil never gets old) that morphs into epic firefights and action-movie daring escapes when and if things go wrong, all in a beautiful environment. Just change up the environment and give us more of the same please, don't fuck with what's not broken.

Re: Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
The small bit of game play I've seen from Breakpoint seems to be mostly human enemies, with a particularly brutal knife takedown :/
