The most surprising thing about this game for me was how quickly the fanfare for it died down, I hardly see it ever get a mention these days, and it only released in February.

Did it do anything different to the first?

Don't get me wrong I loved the first and will be all over this, but if it is just more of the same then no real surprise.

I saw an Outside Xtra rundown on it when it released on consoles, from that it sounded like more a case of evolution than revolution.

It’s very much more of the same with some refinements. I enjoyed it but not as much as the first. Aloy is annoying as fuck for the first few hours.
