Another Alpha, very reminiscent of the original S.W.A.T. that looks promising, with great atmosphere outweighing a slightly dated-looking engine.

How SWAT games should be played, 4man veteran squad, with GLID doing the dry-humour Maureen cheese perfectly:

Isn't this the one that got dropped by Team17 as publisher for Tweeting that they wanted to include a school shooting level? Classy.

I think we can all agree that profiting from school shootings is...tacky, to say the least, but doesn't that sorta come with the territory? They're making a game about police armed response teams, that's the sort of thing they respond to. I honestly can't say I'm surprised that they had it on their ideas board.

I think they were directly asked about it and confirmed it. I don’t think they were all “school shootings wooo!”. I agree that it’s something a swat game could and probably should cover but it’s going to be a very fine line doing it appropriately.

I cba to try to find the story but it was being discussed on Reddit and one of the devs popped up and said something along the lines of "You bet your ass it is coming". Nobody does dead kids, nobody needs to, not surprised that Team 17 politely declined to remain as the publisher.
