I confess I thought the adult red dragon would cause more of a ruckus, but I hadn’t fully appreciated that half the party is either immune or resistant to fire...
*DM makes mental note to add more green, black etc dragons*

Thursday is a no go for me now I'm afraid. I can make Wednesday though.

Nice one. My bad, I signed up for an art workshop and totally misread what date it was on.

Ok, this is just cruel bearing in mind what happened tonight. Upon levelling up I gained a feat called slippery mind, which gives me proficiency in wisdom saving throws, sending me up from +2 to +7

I guess we're fairly likely to fight dragons again at some point, admittedly.

We haven't fought many spellcasters at all for a long time. Maybe Wrath is avoiding them because of how we approached the Brior Felhim encounter.

My level 8 spell isn't going to be much use in battles but oh boy is it going to let me get up to some naughty things.

I'm actually not that impressed with the selection of 8th level spells (although if you have the same selection I have access to, I can guess at which one you've taken and I'm glad I have wings), so I'm tempted just to take another 7th.

I don't imagine that our choices were the same as there are some specific Warlock spells I have access to and I think there were only 5 choices in total. Sage has taken a very specific utility spell.

Drosku on the other hand had even less choice and I think may have taken the one you are alluding to. Let's just be glad he's likely to be leaving us soon.

Incidentally, I totally forgot that Drosku does have access to the Resurrection spell, he just didn't have it prepared at the time and would have been able to get it ready after we had our long rest in the cave. So he totally could have brought Inileth back.

Edit: Just looked at the Sorceror level 8 spells. Out of the 6, Sage had access to 3 of them. Power Word Stun may not seem like much but it is an incredibly powerful spell at totally shutting down squishy spellcasters, sometimes for entire battles.

I took a spell that although level 3 could potentially shut down at least some of the threat of the types of enemies we're coming up against now (although not dragons unfortunately).

Might even be useful in the next session :o

True, PWS was the one spell I considered, but I decided to go with something a little more... fun. Also because I'm a sorcerer, I can rejig a previously learned spell and replace it with something else, so I've done that to give myself something that, when cast at level 8, is probably going to be more useful.

I feel like the reaction of Sage and Charr to watching Slythe showing off his magical abilities is not unlike Michaelangelo's when his five-year-old kid showed him a stick figure he'd drawn
