It'd still give Maldonado a run for his money. ;)

A family who lived around the corner from me and whose daughters I knew when I was in my late teens were really friendly with Brian Blessed and he would often turn up to their parties, so I have met him on several occasions (to the point where he once greeted me unprompted with "Hello Ian"). As a huge fan of him in Flash when I was a kid, I absolutely loved the guy and can confirm that he is 100% as loud as he appears with a personality as huge as his voice. Absolutely lovely bloke.

Yep genuine national treasure is our Brian. My first experience of him was as a teen in the 80's, secretly watching Blackadder 1, whilst babysitting my siblings on mums Bible study night....legend! 😁

Remember him playing Long John Silver on a TV series in the 80's I think would have been my earliest memory of him.

In 1970, a dead whale washed up on a beach in Oregon. On the 50th anniversary, someone has restored the original news footage demonstrating how the locals decided to deal with it.
