Bose Soundwear

Because a speaker you wear is just what the cool kids use. I dont immediately hate it. The sound quality is surprisingly good for what it is - fine base, fairly detailed mids/highs. Obviously theres massive sound bleed but it's definitely far louder on the user than the surroundings. It's a pretty limited use case thing, I bought it so I can watch TV/listen to podcasts/play Elite etc.. while the missus is sleeping and still hear the postie which I can't with headphones. Bose do say its not for TV watching because its not aptx but I didnt really notice any lag. It works for what I need it to.... or I could have just bought a cheapo doorbell and put the ringer in the room with me which would be the sensible way to go. :-k

PS anyone that paid £300 for this is fucking wanker ;)
Also anyone who dreams of using it outside their own four walls is an irredeemable fucking wanker. But you just know that these will start appearing on fucking trains, in parks etc before you know it.

On another note, also in the WH-1000XM3 club and they are indeed the doggie's doodlers.

Thank you for the kind words gentlemen.

I would love to tell you it was down to hard work and determination but the truth is a bit more unfortunate sadly. I don't know if you recall but a few years back I fell ill and they suspected it was my heart. Long story short it turns outs I have a condition called systemic sclerosis. Its a auto immune deficiency that means my immune system attacks my lungs .

This makes most types of physical activity very tiring and of course shortness of breath and O2 saturation is always an issue. But, several years later and I am surviving. I cope and have methods to cope better when I have to. I can pretty much do everything I did before with some planning and prep. Naturally it does mean I am on the old "vulnerable" list with Covid but again I cope and have network of friends who have been kinder to me then I could ever hope to repay.

I may do a separate topic on this at some point.

Anyway, these lads arrived this morning. What's the expression?...

No less of an achievement. Hell, that probably actually makes it more of an achievement!

I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of Boba Fett but his armour and bucket have always looked cool. Definitely some of Ralph McQuarries finest work...

Also worth noting that Amazon dropped this in price very randomly this week to a price that MUST have been an error....but I clicked 'buy' in time.

Proper chuffed with it. A nice show piece at a toy shop price. Marvellous!

I've seen a few shots of this, and it's definitely one of the more dynamic collectors' edition statues I've seen. It certainly beats the usual "protagonist standing looking slightly pensive atop a bit of rubble".
