I wish I had it so I can stay away from all this Xmas madness and do my own thing....

Happy Christmas Folks.

I tend to only drop in every year (ish) or so, but over the years you've been a great support for me. So get fat and fucking drunk, because that's what I'm going to do.

How's everyone's day? As per tradition I've been building Lego since about 10am, with a short break to cook Christmas lunch for everyone. Still, I love it

Admittedly, copious amounts of buck's fizz has helped.

It's been real good here. First time spending xmas with my beautiful partner (she was working last year) and her family are all in France, so it's been great having her with me at the family home. Good food, good company. Can't complain.

I'm stuck on my own again this year, but have had a fairly decent day. Went for my usual morning walk expecting that nobody would be out on christmas morning at 8:30 (it was cold and windy), but discovered that there was a sodding park run gathering and it was literally the most crowded place I've been in about 6 months.

Other than that I've watched a couple of films, mostly got my christmas dinner right (it's the first real cooking I've done in 4 or 5 months), had a very nice bottle of wine, and while they haven't arrived yet, I have a bunch of new X-Wing The Miniatures Game stuff coming as pressies.

What lego did you get Alan?

Haha, it wasn't for me, it was a couple of big Harry Potter sets for the girls, and also got youngest daughter a smallish Mandalorian set as she's a bit obsessed with Baby Yoda (despite never seeing the Mandalorian )

I hope everyone has had a good day. Christmas is a very low key affair for my family nowadays but good food and drink are consumed and they're very laid back, so it makes for a fairly pleasant day.

Had to cook for 6 adults and 3 kids. Spent most of the day in the kitchen or watching kids go crazy. So normal Christmas for me.....help!

Had a very low key one as well with my family which I prefer these days. I hate sprouts but my mum shreds them, adds garlic, lightly fries them in olive oil and adds a bit of butter...sweet Jesus it was divine!!

Boiling Brussel sprouts is sacrilegious, no wonder so many people detest them if that's how they're subjected to them. The only true way to cook them is lightly frying with a little white wine and some pancetta.

Balsamic vinegar and maple syrup them then air fryed is the way to go! Our local amazing Chinese did salt and chilli sprouts this month and they were fantastic!
