Trump strategy is to scare middle America and the white vote because that is his core base. It might even win. The only way his strategy fails if more black people in the marginals vote but history has shown non whites vote a lot less than whites. So the solution is there. Its up to the black community to engage communities to vote him out.

We used to live on the same floor as a family whose dad was a travelling Man Utd fan (and a rare example of one who was actually from Manchester, at that). He got "anti-riot'd" by Turkish police on one trip and I saw the bruises and all the day after he came back - while plod was found to not be aiming away, you definitely don't want to get hit by one of those things at all.

I am more concerned by the complete lack of comment from the GOP. Nothing from McConnell or any of the white Republican senators.

A white man was murdered by a black police officer and Obama sends in the heavy guys to beat up white protesters. The Republicans would not be having kittens, they would be seeking a second civil war.

Trump wanted to send in the military. Now he can do that but he will need authority from the Senate. Even the military chiefs do not want to do that because they all know that is one step away from dictatorship.
