This one won't mean much to many here, but means a lot to me:

Gutted. Saw them play last year with a friend I hadn't been out with in years. Also went to the punk festival in Scarborough earlier this year. They were meant to play, but while the band were there Colin had been advised not to travel for medical reasons. We didn't realise at the time that it was so serious of course.

Hugely influential on me as a teenager and into my twenties, even though the politics they were railing against has moved on, in many ways it is also coming full circle and I can't look at their lyrics without still feeling they have weight.

Ah fuck. I've no idea what Micheal Madsen was like as a person but he was always great in films. Very sad.

Real shame about Kenneth Colley as well. He was Star Wars villian who wasn't really a villian, just doing his job.

Fuck the preacher guy though..

Ah fuck me. Legend. He and Sabbath were probably the biggest musical influences in my life.

Rest well man, fuck knows you earned it!

What the fuck?
Never been a big fan but props to him for that final gig. I was expecting a shitshow and he did fucking great! Kind of badass way to go to be honest.

They must have known he didn't have long left for them to put it on. One final huge celebration for his life and music whilst raising almost $200m for charity. An absolutely class way to go, you could see how much it meant to him when they did those four Sabbath songs, and what a legacy he leaves too.

I was about to reply to Hulk Hogan's passing but I see the post has been deleted!

I am not super into wrestling these days, but this man was a significant character of my childhood. Despite his well-known flaws, I was very happy to learn of his 2023 baptism and his professed faith in Jesus, which became more real and important to him in recent years.
My fire is more than can be made with forests,
My state more base than are the basest valleys;
I wish no evenings more to see, each evening;
Shamed, I hate myself in sight of mountains,
And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

Unfortunately, Trump also became more important to him in his later years. :|
