If it's not too much trouble, please may I leap out of the hole and rip the hag's throat out with my teeth?

Absolutely!

I have already rolled for initiative and the PCs won, which means they can act first.

Fechr, roll a d20 to test Strength!

Target number is 9.

Amazing!

A critical hit! Roll a d6 for damage, then double the result.

I’d like to drop my torch, clamber up the hole after him and, seeing that my newfound negotiating skills are not likely to be of use, I’ll lunge at the hag with my sword.

Let's wait and see if Fechr has already killed her first.

5 on the d6, so that's 10.

Fechr leaps out of the hole and tears out the hag's throat in a shower of gore; her body collapses onto the floor of the chamber.

The screaming ceases.

Now there is only the crackle of the flames from the burning pile of bones in the western corridor.

What does everyone do now?

I'd like to retrieve my torch and then assure everyone that the terrified old woman upstairs has had her throat ripped out by Fechr, so it's probably safe now.

Then I'll go back up and ask Fechr what manner of evil she performed to provoke his onslaught.

Jump out of the tunnel bellowing like a madman full of piss and vinegar!! I abruptly stop when I see the dead hag and Fechr chewing on her. I decide to make myself busy on the other side of the chamber and try and hold my stomach contents in.

Giant scampers up the slope and through the hole, and immediately starts rifling through the old hag's pockets.
