I can reroll my character to vary it up a bit if you want?

Only if you want to, mate! I don't mind there being two gamblers.

Re: (TTRPG) Frontier Scum
You go by the name
Cornelius St John Cumflutter III
and you are
Wanted Alive
for the crime of Attempted Fraud. You have a 40s bounty on your head.
GRIT1
SLICK1
WITS2
LUCK3
HP3
You're a Carcass Trapper with delicate sensibilities and a groomed appearance. A Southern dandy with a sly charm and fear of fresh meat.
You have a skill you learned when nightbears tracked you for days and one you learned when a friend tried to eat you.
You also have a skill you picked up when your horse ran off with another scum.
You have some tools of the carrion trade, meaning:
Gutting knife
Jar of coyote urine
you also have
7 pieces of chewing gum
A canteen with a day's worth of water
7 silver
You shoot a Rat rifle (d4*) and you have an item slot's worth of ammunition.
You wear a chipped charcoal leather hat and mount a stolen riding horse (HP 6 Morale 11) with a grey coat which likes sugar cubes saddled and with saddlebags.
(I changed the name and a tiny bit of the bio if that's OK?)

Re: (TTRPG) Frontier Scum
I'd like to think that Cornelius' horse ran off with Parcheval given that he's wanted for accidental theft and is apparently riding a stolen horse.

That checks out!
Right...what skills do you think you gained from these events?Animalmother wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 3:11 pmYou have a skill you learned when nightbears tracked you for days and one you learned when a friend tried to eat you.You also have a skill you picked up when your horse ran off with another scum.

Mask my scent at nighttime, able to avoid looking like food and better accuracy when a target is on horseback. Too op maybe?

For the first one, let's say, if you're hiding (from beasts or men), you can stay undetected on a roll of Luck on 2d20.
For the second, let's say if you're confronted by a beast, test Luck on 2d20 and the beast will ignore you/leave you alone if you succeed.
For the third, let's say if your target is mounted, you hit them on a successful 2d20 Slick roll.

Not for me. The forum-post format didn't really work for me.Stormbringer wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 12:18 pmHow about Wrathbone and Raid; you interested in joining this party of outlaw scum?

What if I invited you all to a Discord server?Raid wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 4:13 pmNot for me. The forum-post format didn't really work for me.Stormbringer wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 12:18 pmHow about Wrathbone and Raid; you interested in joining this party of outlaw scum?

It's more the "constantly running" thing. I just can't commit to being able to respond at any time of day, and I always felt like I was holding the game up when I didn't. It ended up feeling more like a chore than a game for me.
If you do want to use Discord though, I can open a channel for the game on the TGA server.

I understand. I think we'll stick with the forum!
Re: (TTRPG) Frontier Scum
I’m up for it - in a post-wedding stupor at the moment so will roll a character when the world stops spinning.
