Malaiz will follow behind Giant and if necessary deploy his "boot and roll" protocol.

Watching Giant fanny about with the door handle, Malaiz pushes him aside and applies the boot to the door.

I was hoping to find out first if we could expect anything on the other side, but, uh, sure
I have a Youtube channel now! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6kVsr ... Q/featured
Re: MÖRK BORG: Chapter II: The Greed Lineage
I'll poke my head around the next corner to see if there's anyone obviously going to come charging down it towards us if they hear, for example, a door being kicked in.

After a month of confinement, Malaiz has adopted a "live in the moment" attitude.

Re: MÖRK BORG: Chapter II: The Greed Lineage
Sorry once again to keep you all waiting!
That's right. This is the latrine. The shitter.
The room smells unequivocally foul. A bench with holes (presumably leading to some dark pit in the ground beneath) is the only furnishing therein. The holes are full to the brim with faeces, spilling over the sides.
Meanwhile...

Precious informs GDTS that there is only silence behind the door, yet a peculiar and decidedly unpleasant odour from within.
Malaiz barges past, boots the door open and finds himself in the...toilet.Animalmother wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 3:16 pmWatching Giant fanny about with the door handle, Malaiz pushes him aside and applies the boot to the door.

Fechr sees a staircase, winding upwards, to the north.

The most detailed desperation of the entire quest..The room smells unequivocally foul. A bench with holes (presumably leading to some dark pit in the ground beneath) is the only furnishing therein. The holes are full to the brim with faeces, spilling over the sides.

I'm just glad you didn't commando-roll into this room!

Holding my breath, I’ll hurry past the latrine and carefully peek through the door to the north of it.

Re: MÖRK BORG: Chapter II: The Greed Lineage
As Lord Margar opens the second door on the right, and looks into the room beyond, he sees, from the light of the torch in the hall outside, a bedroom. Only a single bed is here. Presumably this is where Wemut sleeps.
And yet...the room is not uninhabited.
Whether it is the sound of suppressed yet frightened breathing, the smell of body odour, or the singing of the headlice and intestinal worms, Margar detects that someone else is hiding in the room, behind a barrel.

Malaiz decides to see if his disguise as the jailer works and calls out "Oi, it's Wemut. Come on out!"
