Re: Space Crusade Mission 1: Seek & Destroy
So only one marine per squad can carry a heavy weapon then?
Re: Space Crusade Mission 1: Seek & Destroy
No you can have 3 marines carrying heavy weapons - but your squad can only contain a maximum of 1 type of heavy weapon.Animalmother wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2019 9:52 pmSo only one marine per squad can carry a heavy weapon then?
So you can't take 3 plasma guns for example.
Re: Space Crusade Mission 1: Seek & Destroy
Gonna be shooting off soon, but feel free to post your squad setups in the meantime. I can help you out with them again tomorrow.
We've got all the reference cards and rules on page 1 which is good, so it'll be easy to go back and check anything, but it won't take long to get up to speed once we start playing. Although I've probably missed something, I usually do. ¬_¬

Re: Space Crusade Mission 1: Seek & Destroy
Also, can I work in this pic of Lt Gorman into my game avatar thingy somehow?

I think that conveys the right level of fear and incompetence that is sure to mark my time in command of this mission

Re: Space Crusade Mission 1: Seek & Destroy
I just need you to nominate which of your weapons has the Targeter.Animalmother wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2019 10:56 pmEquipment - melta bomb, bionic eye, suspensors, targeter
Note how there are 2 Targeter cards in each Equipment deck. So in later missions you'll be able to have 2 weapons with a re-roll, and it lasts the entire mission.
Re: Space Crusade Mission 1: Seek & Destroy

All Marine squads are at the ready! The Alien beings on board are roused by the noise and prepare to counter-attack.
Notes on the Mission Map:
* Each of your marine avatars has the image of each heavy weapon it carries. Plane marines are carrying Bolters.
* The 4 quadrants can be easily identified by looking at the blue triangles along the side of the map.
* Red doors are currently closed.
* Every square on the board can be moved into. Ignore any artwork that shows objects covering the ground.
* I'll take away the docking claws once you've all entered the map.
(I'll be putting the map images in spoilers just to stop the pages getting too long).

Re: Space Crusade Mission 1: Seek & Destroy
I will need each of you to roll a D20 so we can determine the turn sequence.

Re: Space Crusade Mission 1: Seek & Destroy
I've got a bag of various dice sitting on my desk, for our D&D campaign, is it cool if I use those instead?
Edit: Assuming it is, I rolled a 12.

Re: Space Crusade Mission 1: Seek & Destroy
Sure. Real dice or the D&D site are both fine.
I guess the D&D site is useful if you don't want to be seen/heard rolling dice.

Re: Space Crusade Mission 1: Seek & Destroy
By the way, the Blood Angels commander is looking shit scared on that map.
Re: Space Crusade Mission 1: Seek & Destroy
As he should be! I was considering asking for a pic of Cpl Hicks instead (I didn't realise Lt Gormless' face would be on my commander
