That's a good take, from my point of view. But we are a deeply divided country now. It's a maddening situation that has psychological complexities that I doubt can be unraveled by any means. We that are of sound mind and rationality cannot undo the mass brainwashing that has occurred to the 'other half' of our citizens. They're in lock step with Alex Jones, trump, Marjorie T. Greene, these idiots running Florida, et al.

2024 is a long way away, especially because the mid-terms are coming up. If the Democrats get their asses handed to them this November, then all bets are off for the presidential run. The GQP will have voting rights in many states practically turned back to colonial times before the presidential run. We'll have to start hoping that these old men like trump and mcconnell start dying off - but one thing I've noticed in my career in psych nursing is that the more ornery and shitty a man is, the longer he lives.
