US President Donald Trump has posted on social media, writing: "Minnesota is a Criminal COVER UP of the massive Financial Fraud that has gone on!"

He hasn't provided any further context or evidence for this post.

I know this is Trump and sense doesn't apply, but it sounds like he's saying citizens of Minnesota are selfishly getting themselves shot by ICE agents as a distraction for something that probably doesn't exist and would have nothing to do with them regardless...?

Even by Trump's standards, I'm confused.

I note that they typically have no complaints when there's a school shooting* or when ICE shoots someone who doesn't have a legally-owned gun on their person.

I utterly detest the NRA, they're one of the very worst things about the United States, but I'm impressed that they actually took a stance here - honestly anything that makes their enormous influence-base question the tangerine tyrant is helpful. Just, if they could simply wink out of existence permanently if the US ever manages to get back into a comfortable state, that'd be swell.

Preemptively using words such as Suspect, Riot and that Alex Assaulted so called 'Law Enforcement officers' when it's clear from every conceivable angle that no such thing took place. Also, that ICE agents used the minimal amount of force and states they were the victims. Sickening.

Alex can be seen crossing directing traffic safely filming and not getting involved and only directly 'injects' himself at all after seeing a woman fall down and goes to help her back up. On top how she responds is not bashing, she hardly establishes any form of real pushback aside from a few moments of established truths against the bs Bovine is spouting over and over again when all the evidence plays out in the bloody background directly contradicting every angle he attempts to paint it with as blatantly false.

Apparently, the intended target Bovino was supposedly after was released from custody during twunt's first administration...they even bungled who they were after:

In the hours following the shooting, U.S. Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino held a press conference asserting that the operation was targeting an individual named Jose Huerta-Chuma and characterized him as having a significant criminal history. Because federal statements have repeatedly included inaccurate information about Minnesota custody and criminal records, the DOC reviewed available records to determine whether the individual referenced had any connection to Minnesota state prison custody.

Based on DOC records and publicly available Minnesota court data:

The individual identified by federal officials has never been in Minnesota DOC custody.
DOC and court records show no felony commitments associated with this
Public Minnesota court records reflect only misdemeanor-level traffic offenses from more than a decade ago.
The individual is not currently under DOC supervision.

DOC records further indicate that an individual by this name was previously held in federal immigration custody in a local Minnesota jail in 2018, during President Trump’s first administration. Any decisions regarding release from federal custody at that time would have been made by federal authorities. DOC has no information explaining why this individual was released.

I just watched the video of the shooting. Nothing to add that hasn't already been said but Jesus that was fucking brutal. The shoving the woman over, the pistol whipping of the guy who went to help her, then his execution. They shoot him 5 more times when he's on the ground. The comparisons to the SS or SA is completely accurate.

Looks like ICE agents attempted to enter an Ecuadorian consulate building in Minneapolis without permission, and threatened the member of the consulate's staff that stopped him.

I'm not remotely surprised, but you'd have thought that even someone totally untrained would understand that you'd at least check with a superior before doing anything on diplomatic premises like these. It speaks to either the complete brazenness, or just utter stupidity of the masked thugs patrolling the city at the moment.

Isn't that technically an act of war against Ecuador? I've never been sure if that's an urban myth.

I don't think so. You can find the text for the Vienna Conventions online, and it doesn't really mention anything about violations of the convention. I suspect all that would happen would be Ecuador would lodge a complaint made to the UN. Given Trump's disdain for the UN, I'm not going to be terribly surprised if ICE come back with one of those military APCs that US police for some reason have access to, crash through the front of the building and arrest everyone inside.

There was also something about them wanting to send ICE agents to the Winter Olympics in Italy for some unexplained reason. Italy obviously told them to go get fucked. The World Cup and Summer Olympics are going to be an utter shit show.
