As an autistic person, I'm not sure whether to be more dismayed by the laughable medical claims which are rightfully dismissed by medical science, or by the fact that Trump and RFK see autism as something that needs to be 'cured'.

Same here, but I think Trump/RFK seeing it as something that needs to be cured is the most troubling part.

All these climate change predictions made by the UN and others ''were wrong'' and made by ''stupid people''.

Get away from the ''green scam'' - referring to climate policies - or your country ''will fail,'' he tells the gathered world leaders.

It doesn't really matter how outrageous it is to our ears, this isn't for the UN audience, it's all just sound bites for Fox News to tell America "look how Trump stands up to this failing organisation". I'm willing to bet 95% of the UN delegates know how full of shit he is.

If he was any other dishevelled old man, ranting on the street about how global warming is a scam and paracetamol causes autism, the police would turn up to have a chat with him and move him on.

Against my better judgement, I've watched the whole speech. It's about as deranged and sinister as I've ever seen him.

I'm not sure I have it in me to watch the whole thing, but I've seen his ranting about the escalator that failed when he entered the building. I do wonder whether his dislike of the UN is solely based on them rejecting his contract offer to revamp their New York headquarters 20 years ago; at this point I absolutely think he's that petty. The guy is incredibly vindictive, it's like he only ever remembers the slights and makes it his mission to bring them up at every turn. He's like Victor Meldrew with none of the charisma.

He spent roughly 10 minutes ranting about exactly that and how if they'd gone with him it would have been cheaper and better. Petty doesn't begin to cover it.
