Even if that is the truth, which I suspect has been highly embellished, what would you expect to happen when a mob of armed men in masks stop your car and don't identify themselves before trying to get you out?

These enforcement groups are nothing more than gangs of masked, white, redneck Christian Fascist men dolling out vigilante justice to whoever they don't like the look of. They have absolutely no place carrying out any of the actions they're doing.

This Reuters article seems pretty thorough in what is known about him so far and I can’t see anything suggesting his political leanings. In fact it states he didn’t even vote in the last election.
