Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
Given that it's a story that refuses to go away, possibly the *only* story about Trump that's refused to go away, even I'd be surprised if they offed her at this stage because of how blatantly obvious it'd be. At the same time, I don't think they can offer a pardon either because of how blatantly obvious that would be. Either way there's total uproar that could actually, genuinely destroy the MAGA movement, or at least remove Trump from the head of it. I've even heard theories that this is how Vance gets Trump out of the way so he can assume the presidency, but I think it's probably too early for that.
Maybe they've moved her to another prison because they can better control her there? My guess is that they'll just continue to delay any further action on this while trying to keep Maxwell under wraps, but I don't know how long they can continue doing that given that both sides of Congress want her to testify in front of them.

I mean, Epstein died right before he was due to testify, didn’t he? That was pretty bleeding obvious in terms of suspicion. Not saying that was Trump, but if Epstein was murdered then his killers didn’t give a crap about appearances, and I can’t imagine Trump would care in a similar situation with Maxwell.Raid wrote: ↑Sat Aug 02, 2025 11:45 amGiven that it's a story that refuses to go away, possibly the *only* story about Trump that's refused to go away, even I'd be surprised if they offed her at this stage because of how blatantly obvious it'd be. On the other hand, I’d assume Maxwell has some kind of death trigger in her will, where if she dies of anything other than natural causes then files are released. I’m surprised Epstein didn’t have anything like that.
Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
I don't think I was even more than dimly aware of Epstein before his death, but we're now talking about a direct link between him and the President of the United States that's been front-page news for weeks. If she dies, the suspicious is absolutely going to be on Trump, whereas with Epstein it was on any number of people. Hell, maybe they've transferred her to a another prison to stop any of those other potential actors from having her killed.
Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
He’ll just say Biden did it - Creepy, Sleepy Joe, he always talked about doing it, everyone’s saying it.
Plus it wouldn’t surprise me if there are people in Congress who would benefit from her demise. If she does die, the press will go bananas but nothing will happen to Trump. It never does. And even if they pinned it on him conclusively, he’d just brag about how he killed a nasty woman and did everyone a favour.

Trump moved some nuclear submarines somewhere in response to the usual deranged ramblings of Dmitry Medvedev. The Edwin would genuinely escalate a nuclear conflict to divert attention away from the Epstein stuff.

If you're in a government that has pissed off everybody except for their most deluded fanatics, how do you think firing half of a three-letter intelligence agency is going to play out? Do you think perhaps they may have the knowledge, the connections, the means and now the will to utterly ruin you?

You can't be investigated for corruption and treason if there's nobody to investigate you. Masterful display of 4D chess.Wrathbone wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 8:01 amhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c78mj2m85pno

The laughably easy dismantling of the US government and its institutions with virtually no push back shows how utterly worthless it all was.
Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
True, but is an investigation even necessary if an ex-agent you've fired decides to send the dirtiest matieral they have on you to every major news outlet in the country? It's not like Tulsi Gabbard (or anyone else in government) would have to have done anything terrible, though I'm sure there's dirt out there - simple things like browsing history, shopping habits or some embarrasing footage or audio captured through a phone or laptop can easily cause character assassination.Animalmother wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 9:00 amYou can't be investigated for corruption and treason if there's nobody to investigate you.
That's the reality of arming the intelligence community with the power to track, trace and record everyone's digital footprint with impunity: nobody is immune from it. It wouldn't surprise me if Gabbard is dense or naive enough to think that she's untouchable from the IC because she hasn't done anything illegal.
Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
I think you have too high an expectation of character assassination. These people have no shame, no morals, and at this stage in the presidency, the ability to just say "that's fake news" and then throw 15 other news stories at the press to be able to just move on as if nothing happened. Hegseth and co. leaked classified military operations, in a country that utterly fetishizes their military, to a reporter, through blind stupidity and a complete disregard for their own organisation's rules that were supposed to prevent that blind stupidity from having any effect. I don't think anything happened.
Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
I think you're underestimating how easy it is to produce data to show basically whatever you want when you have access to all the data.
We know the Republican party and its voters really don't like that the Epstein files haven't been released. I daresay there's a way to show Gabbard is against releasing the files, or is in the files, or has tried to block their release, etc. All I'm saying is she's screwing a LOT of people who are very smart, very capable and have a history of being utterly ruthless.
