Police in the US never fail to astonish me. Giving the officer in question the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he saw a threat coming from behind the camera, but did he check his target? Did he take a moment to de-escelate or notice the press crew in the way? No, he immediately turns and fires and hits a journalist in the leg with a non-lethal round.

I hope he's immediately removed from duty and she's given a whopping payout. Ridiculous.


EDIT - No, scrap the benefit of the doubt. Having watched it a few times, the officer knows the TV crew are there as he's looking in their direction earlier in the clip. Even if there was a perceived threat behind the crew, no reasonable person would just fire through a press gang. What in the world was he thinking?

I'd be interested to know if RFK actually believes half the shite he comes out with. He's repeatedly made the claim that autism is linked to vaccinations and that autism is somehow an 'epidemic', like it's a disease, which is a fundamental misunderstanding of what autism is. The supposed link can be trivially disproved by the fact that neurodiverse brains are literally wired differently to neurotypical brains. I'm sure that any qualified doctor could explain that to him in a few seconds (and I'm sure they have), so either he's monumentally thick or just another conspiracist pushing an agenda who has inexplicably ended up in the worst cabinet post he could possibly have been appointed to.
