Happy for you to come up with the skills. My only idea so far is that the one he learned from digging his own grave was possibly some sort of quick draw ability with his pistol or a bonus with bludgeoning weapons as he was able to use the shovel to cave in his assailants face.

I'll buy some more pistol ammunition, a hunting rifle and some rifle ammunition then, after selling my pocket watch. Travelling's dangerous these days so one must arm oneself at the expense of such fine luxuries.
