Unrelated and just out of interest, how far and wide have our bounties travelled? As we're moving to a completely new part of the country, will people still be looking to cash in on them, or might we have outrun our infamy?

I think if you cross to a different territory (which you haven't yet), you will be less well known, for certain.

Just a heads-up that I'm not going to be around today. To help keep things moving along, Doc's plan for the next while is to butcher his croc, removing the hide and teeth for later sales, preparing the ration portions and getting a fire going (gathering any dry desert brush etc and using his lighter to ignite, if an accelerant is needed he'll sacrifice a dose of opium) to cook them.

Fun fact: there's no description of the orb which Rose Michen had upon her, other than it was "imbued with antediluvian magick".

For its colour (red with black veins) I decided to copy the pattern of the "Bloodstone" from David Gemmell's Jon Shannow trilogy, which has something of a western vibe, though it's more of a post-apocalypse setting than a strict western (and actually very disappointing, overall). The Stones of Power (known as Sipstrassi) featured in that saga reminded me of the description of the orb.

Apologies, gentlemen, there will be a delay in proceedings for the next few days; I am in the process of writing/designing a Frontier Scum adventure for a competition that ends in three days, and all my FS energy is currently focused on that! I will get back to the Bean Bunch as soon as I can!

I have submitted my entry into the competition, after three days of non-stop writing, editing and designing.

I now have a thousand-yard stare and my head is full of tumbleweeds. Give me some days to recover then I'll return to our adventure!
