With a smack of his lips, Doc will return to the latrine to brew up something else from the various fluids within.

I'll do a quick listen against the door to the southeast room, and if I hear nothing then I'll enter.

You hear nothing, and upon entering you find a room that appears to be some kind of lounge. In it are armchairs, somewhat haggard-looking, yet you imagine they'd have been comfortable in the Horsehead's heyday. On the north wall there is a fireplace, filled with the ashes of burned books, their remains scattered all over the hearth. On the south wall there is a bookshelf, which still has seven intact books upon it, though the dust suggests nobody has read anything here for many years. There is also a desk in the north-east corner of the room, on which are pens and time-faded documents, including a blank cheque-book for the Miser family's bank account.

That cheque book might be worth grabbing. Never know if the account is still got something in it.

The Doctor, using his expert-level training, by mixing up the right quantities of blood, moonshine and bathwater, and heating them to just the right temperature with his lighter, for just the right amount of time, has concocted Ace in a Bottle. The drinking of which will give you an Ace. You also gain another Ace for rolling a nat. 20.

Roach will tentatively search the remaining room on the south west side of the building whilst the Kid is covering the south east.

Roach, staggering along the corridor (on account of the wounds he sustained from Tammy's guns), listens at the door of the room. He hears all manner of crashings and bangings and laughter and bad jokes coming from behind the door. There appears to be some kind of (violent) party going on therein.

The books, other than dust, have nothing hidden between their pages. Each one, you reckon, like most of the claptrap around here, would fetch between 1 or 2 silver at a general store.
