In Manny's pockets you find a slip of paper with the numbers 0 6 scrawled on it.

You also find a small salt-shaker.

“That was a smart decision, Manny. Now let’s find somewhere to chain you to so you don’t go gettin’ any ideas about running off.”

Is there anything sturdy I could handcuff him to? There’s the fence outside I guess - would it be strong enough to stop him easily breaking free?

Sounds like a plan - I do exactly that.

Then I point my revolver casually at his foot. "Y'know, I'm still a tad worried you might attempt some cockamaney escape. Remind me, how many did you say were in the main building o'er there? Anything else of interest I might wanna hear?"

Now, seein' as he must have a hand free (since the other cuff is presumably clipped around some part of the well), he uses this hand to raise two fingers up in the air, in the shape of a V. He also mumbles something else, incoherently.

I tip my hat to him.

"If that proves wrong... well, the bounty's just as good fer dead as alive."

[Stormbringer]

Now, Cadaver Kid, I want you to make a SLICK test for me.

Why?

Because, Manny boy's gonna try somethin' real crazy-like. He's gonna make a snatch-grab for the second revolver on your belt and try and shoot off the cuff with it!

[Wrathbone]

While Cadaver Kid is busy tipping his hat and speaking to Mumbling Manny, the bearded old man, faster than a rattler in heat, quickly snatches your second revolver from your belt and blows a hole right through the chain on the handcuffs. Then he tips himself backward and topples head-over-heels into the well behind him, taking the gun with him.

You lean over the side of the well, gobsmacked at what you've just witnessed. It's too dark to see down there, but the well's rope, hanging down into the shaft, suddenly goes taut and wobbles a bit, and you know he must have caught onto it.

I start firing wildly down the well!

[Stormbringer]

The rope slackens suddenly, but you don't hear a splash.
